The Bible asks us to give our first and our best back to God and He will bless the rest (Leviticus 27:30 NIV84, Deuteronomy 14:23 TLB). This first is the tithe, or “tenth” of our income. We return to the Lord 10% of what He's given us, because it belongs to Him. The tithe is a very practical and tangible way to put God first.

If you are not tithing already, a great way to start is with a Three-Month Tithe Challenge. Essentially, it's a contract based on the promises of God in Malachi 3:10-11. We commit to you that if you tithe for three months and God doesn't hold true to His promises of blessings, we will refund 100% of your tithe. No questions asked.

A follower of Jesus learns to excel in the act of giving. (2 Corinthians 8:7)

A follower of Jesus gives from the first not out of the last (Proverbs 3:9)

A follower of Jesus is a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7)

A follower of Jesus gives systematically (2 Corinthians 16:1)

A follower of Jesus is generous (2 Corinthians 9:6)

A follower of Jesus sees tithe as the foundation not the ceiling in their giving
A follower of Jesus doesn't tip God, but tithe back to God.

"The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it..." —Psalm 24:1

As Christ Followers, we believe that we are managers of God's resources because He is the owner of all that we have. Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided. His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.
