Groundbreaking
Ceremony 3/1

Our Groundbreaking Ceremony is nearly here! In order to enjoy the day and the celebration, please make a note of the following instructions.

1. Do not park at the McLaughlin Rd Property
  • Because our facility isn’t built yet, we have limited parking options at the property. There are two groups of people we will allow to park onsite:
    1. Parents with infants and toddlers.
    2. Individuals with a disability.
2. Park at Skagit Valley College
  • Utilize the large parking lot to the east of the main college campus.
  • The earlier guests arrive, the better! The shuttles will begin running at 2:00pm, will run every 5 minutes, and will run until 3:00pm. To avoid standing in lines, the earlier you arrive, the quicker you can get to the property!

3. Take the provided shuttle to the property
  • Before and after the event, we will have shuttles arriving every five minutes to take guests to the property. The shuttle will pickup and dropoff at the lot to the south of the Blackburn Pickleball Pavilion.
4. When you arrive at the property, feel free to explore before the ceremony begins
  • When you arrive, you will see some visual cues, so you can get an idea of our future facility. Go ahead and wander to get a sense of the space!
  • There will also be a portable restroom at the property.

5. Participate in the ceremony
  • This is an important event, not just congregationally, but for you personally! Enjoy the moment, and don’t forget to bring your shovel so that you can participate!
6. Return to your vehicle
  • We’ll have to exercise a small amount of patience in returning to our vehicles. We ask that you would allow for those who are elderly to utilize the shuttles first. If you’re waiting to leave, why not use the time to pray? 🙂🙏

What should I wear/bring?
  • Boots
  • Rain coat
  • Warm clothes
  • Shovel
  • Umbrella
What will we bring?
